Helmet Size Chart

These size charts and conversions are meant to serve as a guide. We recommend you try-on before riding to ensure full comfort and performance.

How to measure your size

Wrap a measuring tape around your head, keeping the tape level from front to back. Note the measurement and reference the size guide below.

Note: Make sure the helmet fits with a little room when the fit system is loose, and sits low enough to protect your forehead without hindering your vision. Once you've got the right size, you can adjust the fit.

Description

Help your child enjoy their first rides with the Scamp helmet, equipped with everything from a PinchGuard buckle to a Roc Loc Jr. adjustable fit system that makes fitting it correctly a breeze.

Details

The Scamp II is Giro's smallest helmet designed for young (or future) riders but it still goes big with features and style. Taking design cues from adult helmets like Manifest Spherical, this lightweight in-mold helmet features impact-dissipating EPS foam with a sturdy polycarbonate shell, plus 13 vents for efficient cooling power. The Roc Loc® Junior fit system provides extra adjustability with a simple-to-use dial for several years of head protection for fast-growing rippers. The XS is designed for riders aged 1 and older while the Small is for riders aged 5 and older. Whether they're rolling along in a trailer or powering the pedals themselves, Scamp II is going to make kids want more bike time.

Key Features

Hardshell with In-Mold Hardbody™ Lower Wrap — Combines a tough outer shell with a polycarbonate lower shell fused to the liner, offering durability without added weight.
Roc Loc® Jr. Fit System — A child-specific dial fit system shaped from anatomical research for a secure, comfortable fit. The large rubberized knob allows easy adjustment by adults so kids can gear up quickly.
