The Scamp II is Giro's smallest helmet designed for young (or future) riders but it still goes big with features and style. Taking design cues from adult helmets like Manifest Spherical, this lightweight in-mold helmet features impact-dissipating EPS foam with a sturdy polycarbonate shell, plus 13 vents for efficient cooling power. The Roc Loc® Junior fit system provides extra adjustability with a simple-to-use dial for several years of head protection for fast-growing rippers. The XS is designed for riders aged 1 and older while the Small is for riders aged 5 and older. Whether they're rolling along in a trailer or powering the pedals themselves, Scamp II is going to make kids want more bike time.

Hardshell with In-Mold Hardbody™ Lower Wrap — Combines a tough outer shell with a polycarbonate lower shell fused to the liner, offering durability without added weight.
Integrated MIPS® Brain Protection System — Engineered to reduce rotational forces during certain impacts, helping protect the rider’s brain while meeting and exceeding safety standards.
Roc Loc® Jr. Fit System — A child-specific dial fit system shaped from anatomical research for a secure, comfortable fit. The large rubberized knob allows easy adjustment by adults so kids can gear up quickly.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR SIZE

Wrap a measuring tape around your head, keeping the tape level from front to back. Note the measurement and reference the Size Guide.

Note: Make sure the helmet fits with a little room when the fit system is loose, and sits low enough to protect your forehead without hindering your vision. Once you’ve got the right size, you can adjust the fit.

MEASURING YOUR HAND FOR THE BEST FIT

You can measure the length and width of your hand as illustrated above, and use the Size Guide to determine your size.1. Wrap the tape measure around your hand at the widest part of the palm, and lightly close your hand to get your Hand Width measurement.2. Once you have that measurement recorded, use a tape measure to determine the length of your hand from the tip of your longest finger to the base of your palm at the wrist. This is your Hand Length measurement.3. You can then compare the measurements of your hand with the data supplied in the Size Guide to determine the best fitting size for you..
